ReScape WELO Reporting Community Workshop
May 25, 2021: 5pm – 8pm

ReScape is partnering with Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) to host five three-hour community workshops. Under regulations adopted in 2015, cities and counties are to report to the state each year on their landscape permitting activities that are in compliance with Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance (MWELO).

These reports include much vital information for evaluating the success of local permit programs, including the number of permits issued, the efficiency requirements that apply, the square footage of new irrigated landscapes, and local procedures for inspection and enforcement.  Data is submitted on a simple report form provided by the Department of Water Resources (DWR).

Join ReScape for this innovative and stimulating workshop. We value the dialogue that occurs in our learning spaces when we receive and share dynamic information and tools to change the way we protect our watersheds, save water and address systemic issues. ReScape’s WELO Reporting Community Workshop goal is to lead the charge in research and provision of cutting-edge, whole systems technologies and information that makes the meaningful change that is urgently needed.
