StopWaste offers FREE WELO Enforcement Trainings this Spring
For members of public agencies in Alameda County

This free training, developed by StopWaste exclusively for member agencies, will equip you with tools and knowledge to efficiently enforce WELO in your jurisdiction. WELO is an important tool to make our communities more climate resilient and comply with state law.  

Learn how to:

• Use the WELO Tool Kit
• Require key submittals to streamline your review
• Spot common errors
• Become conversant in water budgets and landscape, and irrigation plan review
• Know how to interpret and enforce WELO
• Confirm compost and mulch requirements
• Comply with DWR reporting requirements

Who should attend? Public agency staff responsible for building and landscape permits in Alameda County and in the 14 cities within the county.

• March 31 (Tues), Host: City of Livermore, in Livermore, 9:00 a.m. - 2 p.m.
• April 30 (Thurs), Host: StopWaste, in Oakland, 9:00 a.m. - 2 p.m.
