Join a half-day, interactive online training designed to demystify nature-based solutions (NbS) and green infrastructure for public agency staff and community-based organizations (CBOs) across Santa Clara County. This training builds practical capacity to plan, implement, and maintain NbS projects that address flooding, extreme heat, and climate resilience.  

This training will be focused on the context of Santa Clara County jurisdictions and community-based organizations; however, it is open to all.

• Introduction to NbS 
• Community-centered Implementation and Policy Frameworks 
• Design, Implementation, Monitoring & Regenerative Maintenance 

Hands-on exercises throughout, including watershed mapping, community engagement, and implementation planning for local Santa Clara County sites. 

This training is prepared and delivered by ReScape California for the County of Santa Clara Office of Sustainability and Resilience (OSR). It is part of an NbS capacity-building initiative led by OSR and funded by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) National Coastal Resilience Fund.
