Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) Training: Catalyzing Communities for Climate Action & Regional Resilience Through Regenerative Practices

Join ReScape California for a half-day, interactive online training designed to demystify nature-based solutions (NbS) and green infrastructure for public agency staff and community-based organizations (CBOs) across Santa Clara County. This training builds practical capacity to plan, implement, and maintain NbS projects that address flooding, extreme heat, and climate resilience and grounded in ReScape's 8 Principles for Regenerative Landscapes.

This Training is open to all. To keep discussion focused, we ask that questions and input reflect the context of Santa Clara County jurisdictions and community-based organizations.

• Watershed systems, green stormwater infrastructure (GSI), and the NbS toolkit
• Soil health, urban tree canopy, carbon sequestration, and habitat
• Environmental justice and equitable resilience planning
• Community engagement as a foundation for NbS policy and planning
• Regulatory frameworks, funding strategies, and cross-jurisdictional collaboration
• Project implementation, regenerative monitoring, and long-term stewardship

Hands-on exercises throughout, including watershed mapping, community engagement, and implementation planning for local Santa Clara County sites.

This training is part of a county-wide NbS capacity-building initiative funded through a National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) grant, delivered by ReScape California in partnership with County of Santa Clara Office of Sustainability and Resilience.
