Landscape Carbon Calculation Workshop
Date: 09 November 2021 - 12:00-1:30 pm Workshop Description - It is essential that we have the tools to calculate the carbon embodied in landscaping materials, and the subsequent carbon sequestration timeline.
Join us as Rick Taylor shares his Landscape Carbon Calculator. The Calculator gives a detailed view into the carbon emissions and sequestration capabilities of a landscape project. It shows the number of years that it takes the landscape to sequester the carbon emitted. In this webinar as you will take a deep technical dive into cutting edge software that calculates the total carbon impacts of our landscape designs and installation practices. This includes emissions, sequestration capabilities, and a determination of how long the landscape will take to sequester the carbon emitted to build it. This workshop will be conducted in a live, online format. The Landscape Carbon Calculation Workshop includes:
Prior to the workshop, you will receive a spreadsheet with the types of information needed to gather to analyze one of your projects. If you do not have a project to analyze, Elder creek Landscapes is partnering with us to prepare information from one of their projects for you to analyze during the class. During the workshop you will be encouraged to engage with any and all questions related to climate change and viable solutions we have to combat it.
