Learn how to use Pathfinder. Join the global community to monitor carbon.

A foundation of ReScape California’s Climate Change Consortium projects through 2030 will be monitoring carbon sequestration- in soil and landscaping materials. We will add to our existing portfolio of tools to count carbon, nourish live soil, save water, identify right plants and so on. One of the new tools is the Pathfinder, developed by ReScape Climate Change Consortium partner, Pamela Conrad, Principal at CMG Landscape Architecture.

The Pathfinder Tool goes live this Friday, September 27 and launches Pamela’s Challenge: a global initiative to monitor carbon drawdown through her new app. The Challenge is a call to action for landscape architects, municipalities, property owners, developers, and associated professionals around the world to reduce carbon footprints and increase carbon sequestration. In joining the Challenge, your contribution will be recorded and recognized for taking climate action.

The launch comes at an important moment in the rise of climate action advocacy. The goal is for all landscape projects going forward to collectively sequester more CO2 than they emit by 2030, with a target of removing one gigaton of CO2 from the atmosphere by 2050. To meet the goals of the challenge, the Pathfinder Tool guides landscape designers towards a path of being Climate Positivesequestering more carbon than their projects emit, ultimately making a positive contribution to reversing global warming.

In this live webinar, Pamela will demonstrate how to use the app and show you how you can join the Challenge. There will be a Q&A at the end, so you can ask Pamela questions about it and carbon drawdown.
